Week 7

This week was a studies week, which I unfortunately wasn’t able to attend because I was working and I couldn’t arrive for time time table which was really disappointing. I really felt because getting some of the feedback would of been amazing. Even though I wasn’t able to I decided to look back and give myself some feedback that I needed.

Later on in the end of semester I had Alec look at some of my work for the presentation and give me some feedback, which was really helpful because I needed some of the support. Alec has looked at some of my sketches and he said they all look really good and he liked pretty much all of them. He pointed out some of the amazing things about some of the sketches which I really enjoyed. He also advised to me to do some colour exploring and just do some of the designs in colour that I had there in drawings. I have really liked this because he told me what he would like to see in the blog and some of the colour exploration could definitely be very beneficial. We also talked about animating and how it can be difficult sometimes, but I told him I want to try to animate a character that I choose to design from our group. He said that sounds amazing, even if it doesn’t work our well he said you will be learning to do some of the animations that will be beneficial later on.

I was really happy when Alec sat down with me and just talked to me and advised me on what I should try to get done for next week. Which made me feel really nice because I knew he understood my situation very well and I knew he would never judge me. So we just discussed some of my work and he gave me a few more tips on presenting the work and then how do you upload the work as well, which was really helpful.

I also know that I waste a lot of time by doing nothing and worrying about the things that might happen, which has been a big problem for me over the years and I am still trying to get over it, but its not simple..I have looked over the whole semester so far and gave myself a little more feedback that I could carry through to the end of the semester. One of the problems for me is managing time and spacing in, how ironic is that since I am doing an animation course..This is definitely an obstacle that I need to cross and get better at because I don’t manage my time well. It does not matter even if it comes to things like work or your studies.

So a few last pointers that I have more myself is to look over the lecturers slides more often because they include the work that has been done inside of class. This helps me refresh my memory and know what to research for the next class. Managing my time properly because I can never do it right and I still need some practise with that. Taking more notes in class because I tend to pick up onto more stuff in the class while we are being presented the class notes. And one of the last points that I want to note down is that I need to take it easy and have fun with all of the classes that I have, I say this because I spent some much time about worrying about every single thing that could go wrong which is never healthy for anyone.
